Most of us have a comfort.......A comfort can be defined as something that bring forth a feeling of relief from worries or unhappiness. It is a something that makes you feel comfortable and at ease. It could be something that you enjoy doing which helps you to release your stress and forget your pains and troubles.
For some, it is a musical instrument like a guitar or a piano which you seek solace in by simply playing with it. For others, it is a sight of someone or something familiar like a comfort blanket......
For me, it is dancing....the feeling of being in presence of myself....being completely and fully there just dancing........
This just brings me to the story of the dancing David in the Bible who cared more about his own internal experience than what other people think. He was utterly fearless of what other people think. His public act of dancing in fact cost him his marriage. His wife despised him as she focused on what the people watching were thinking about him dancing in a an undignified manner, whereas he focused on experiencing the joy of being in the presence.
I think it is more important to care about what is going on inside our own heart than what other people think of our actions. So, I often tell myself that my heart is made for bigger things that satisfy and enrich my soul like dancing.
